Suicide Awareness and Alertness

          Suicide and other mental health issues are a growing concern in our society.  Expand your knowledge of suicide facts, dispel some myths and then become certified as a suicide ‘alert helper’ to create suicide safer communities.

          The workshop is designed to ensure that persons with thoughts of suicide are identified and connected to ‘intervention helpers’. 

· Learn how to provide practical help to persons with thoughts of suicide

· Learn a carefully crafted set of helping steps by participating in a creative educational process

· Be challenged, have feelings, and be hopeful

· Learn to recognize that a person might be having thoughts of suicide

· Learn to engage in direct and open talk about suicide with that person

· Learn to move quickly to connect a that person with someone trained in suicide intervention

· Practice

· Leave willing and able to be a suicide alert helper

COST OF WORKSHOP: $100.00

This includes a certificate, a pocket card, and “you can talk to me” stickers to activate your suicide alert status, all from
